The FCM Mindful Teen Program is designed for teens ages 13-18 who aspire to cultivate mindfulness and compassion in their lives. It meets on the first Sunday of each month (September through June) after Sangha from 12:15-1:45 pm in the Education Building at the Tampa Practice Center.  The program includes meditation practice and discussion of teachings inspired by Zen master and peace activist Thich Nhat Hahn. In the spirit of inter-being and inclusiveness, we honor the diverse spiritual/cultural roots and religious traditions of our teens.

Schedule:

12:15-12:30 pm.    Registration* and Sign In.  You are welcome to bring a brown bag vegetarian lunch to eat prior to the start of the session - no tree nuts or peanuts please.

12:30-1:45 pm.    Mindfulness Practices and Discussion Session.

* A signed parent/guardian registration form for the program is required for teen participation. This can be filled out the first time the teen attends for the year,  during registration/sign in. If a parent/guardian is unable to attend at this time, please contact the Family Program Coordinator at family-program-coordinator@floridamindfulness.org to receive a form to fill out and sign ahead of time.
